Ephraim Kishon, the Hungarian-Jewish author, journalist, and director of Sallah Shabati was one of the great writers who defined the Israeli experience. However, through his 50-year career of award-winning writing, Kishon could never write his own biography. At 70, he enlists a journalist to help his own story unfold. The film incorporates animation and rare footage to bring to life Kishon's own story. The screening is part of JCC's Israel Film Center Festival and will be followed by Q&A with Kishon's son and documentary participant, Amir Kishon.
