Presented by Hungarian Cultural Center, New York, through a series of three personal and entertaining video podcasts the author and translator will guide you on how to create The Perfect Crime. In the second installment of the series, she will share her tricks when it comes to writing and will even read an excerpt from her most recent volume.

About the author
Éva Cserháti writer and literary translator was born in 1975 in Budapest. She writes upmarket crime fiction. So far, she has published two novels in Hungarian. The first, Message in a Bottle (2016), is a stand-alone novel. In 2019 the first in a planned series of literary crime fiction, The Mermaid’s Secret, was published to glowing reviews in Hungary and was selected by the Petőfi Literary Fund to represent the best of Hungarian literature at international book fairs. The second in the series, Escape Room will be out in 2021. She is currently working on the third title Murder on the Pilgrimage Train.
Working as a literary translator she has published more than thirty books from and to Spanish, English, and Hungarian. Since 2005 she has been promoting Hungarian literature abroad and received a ministerial award for her work. She is a member of the British Crime Writers’ Association and the Society of Authors.
