On the 60th anniversary the Hungarian community will celebrate the successful erection of the permanent memorial next to the great Kossuth statue in New York City honoring the heroes of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. The Hungarian American Memorial Committee was formed in 2006 to realize this dream. The members of this Committee are the leaders and representatives of Hungarian American organizations, who dedicated to offer their time and efforts for the realization of this goal. Witness the presentation of the Memorial, a testimony to revolutionary heroism in the face of overwhelming odds in 1956 and the subsequent welcome extended to Hungarians, future Hungarian Americans, by NYC and the US at large. Click here for more.
